Power Restored In Horizon Cityโšก

Power has been restored to about 1,400 customers in Horizon City after an ATV crash knocked out electricity. The crash, which happened on February 23, hit an electric pole, affecting Walmart and nearby homes. El Paso Electric worked quickly to fix the issue, and thankfully, no one was hurt. Be careful out there folks!

El Paso Marathon Sets Records ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ

The El Paso Marathon set a new record with over 500 participants and a fresh Eastside-to-Downtown course! The marathon, half marathon, and 5K all ended at San Jacinto Plaza, passing through iconic city streets along the way. This race is now a key qualifier for major marathons like Boston and New York for anyone wanting to run competitively.

El Paso Spelling Bee Champ Announced ๐Ÿ

Anaya Tonde, a 4th grader from Mesita Elementary, won the 2025 Regional Spelling Bee by correctly spelling โ€œjicamaโ€! She will represent El Paso at the Scripps National Spelling Bee in Washington, D.C., competing for the title of top speller in the country. Good luck, Anaya!

Stephanie Han Lands 1st Round KO ๐ŸฅŠ๐ŸฅŠ

Stephanie Han made history in El Paso by winning the WBA lightweight title with a first-round knockout! In Ring Wars 15, she took down Hannah Terlep with four powerful right hooks, ending the fight just before the first round ended. With this win, Han remains undefeated and becomes a world champion!

UTEP Basketball Falls Short ๐Ÿ€

UTEP Menโ€™s Basketball fell short against Jax State, losing 73-65 despite Otis Frazier IIIโ€™s career-high 25 points and 10 rebounds. Frazier also moved to fourth place on UTEPโ€™s all-time steals list. The Miners struggled with free throws, finishing 51.7% while JSU shot 72.7%. Next up: WKU on Thursday!
