Bomb Found In East El Paso 💥

A tense situation unfolded in East El Paso when police responded to reports of a suspicious item near the 8000 block of Gateway East around 11 a.m. on Feb. 12. The EPPD bomb squad confirmed it was a pipe bomb and safely removed it. The FBI is now investigating, and more details are expected soon.

More Stores Limit Egg Purchases 🥚

El Paso Albertsons stores are now limiting customers to two cartons of eggs per purchase due to the ongoing national egg shortage. Prices have skyrocketed, and grocery stores across the country are placing restrictions to manage supply. Even Costco has set limits, allowing only three two-dozen or four-dozen cartons per customer. Plan accordingly.

Adjusted Bus Schedule 🚌

Sun Metro is adjusting its service from February 13-19 due to the recent fire at the Transit Operations Center. While some key routes will maintain frequent service, others will run on a Sunday/Holiday schedule to manage resources efficiently.

The Mesa, Alameda, Dyer, and Montana BRIO routes will begin at 6 A.M., with wait times ranging from 20 to 30 minutes. The Eastside Connector (Route 59) will also start at 6:04 A.M.. Community partner Amistad will continue running regular schedules for select routes.
